Overview

The Legal Operations Manager at Seismic is a pivotal role that supports the legal department's strategic vision and contributes to the company's overall business objectives. This individual will be responsible for enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the legal team through process improvement, technology management, and cross-functional collaboration. The role demands a forward-thinking, detail-oriented professional who can pursue operational excellence with Seismic's dynamic growth. 

What you'll be doing:

  • Support the company's scaling efforts. 
  • Oversee and optimize legal processes, ensuring they align with business needs and regulatory requirements. 
  • Manage the selection, implementation, and utilization of legal technology platforms to streamline workflows. 
  • Contract management, including coordinating playbook reviews and approvals, updating templates  and lifecycle management. 
  • Coordinate vendor management, from selection to performance evaluation, ensuring alignment with legal and business objectives. 
  • Administer the legal department's budget, including forecasting, tracking, and reporting on expenditures. 
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure legal considerations and legal operations are integrated into business initiatives.  
  • Provide project management support for key departmental initiatives. 
  • Analyze data and generate reports to provide insights into departmental performance, identify areas for improvement, and drive data-driven decisions. 
  • Facilitate training and development programs for the legal team and other stakeholders on legal operations-related topics. 

What you bring to the team:

  • Demonstrated project management prowess, with the ability to lead complex initiatives. 
  • Proficiency in legal technology platforms and a keen interest in leveraging tech for operational improvements. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a knack for identifying and implementing process enhancements. 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal abilities, capable of fostering collaboration and managing stakeholder relationships. 
  • In-depth knowledge of contract management processes and best practices. 

 

Preferred:

  • Hands-on experience with legal technologies currently in use at Seismic, such as Salesforce, Ironclad, Tableau, etc. 
  • Familiarity with regulations specific to the SaaS industry and our customer base in financial services.

Seismic's annual base salary range for this position will vary based on applicant's location, experience, job level, skills, and abilities as well as internal equity and alignment market data. The range listed below is the minimum to the maximum of our target hiring range.

Seismic's salary range for this position is: USD $93,000.00/Yr. - USD $160,500.00/Yr.

This position is also eligible to participate in Seismic's incentive plans in addition to base salary. The actual incentive amount will very and will be subject to the terms and conditions set in the applicable incentive plan.
