Overview

The Director, Creative is a hands-on leader responsible for shaping the creative identity of the company within the digital landscape, ensuring that the brand resonates with audiences and setting it apart in the competitive software industry. As the head of the creative team, the role collaborates with stakeholders, other executives, and leaders to determine how the company should be represented to the public. 

 

We’re looking for a visionary Director, Creative to lead Seismic’s creative team and elevate our brand to the next level. This is a pivotal role responsible for shaping our visual identity, campaign creative, and customer-facing storytelling across channels. You’ll partner closely with marketing, product, sales, and executive leadership to deliver bold, differentiated, and strategic creative that drives business impact and brand affinity. 

What you'll be doing:

  • Creative Strategy: Define and evolve the brand’s creative strategy to align with Seismic’s mission, vision, and go-to-market goals, setting and upholding high standards of creative quality, ensuring brand integrity and customer resonance. 
  • Team Leadership: Lead and inspire a high-performing creative team and agency partners, fostering innovation, collaboration, and clear goal-setting. 
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal stakeholders to translate business needs into compelling creative solutions that reflect the brand and brings Seismic’s narrative to life. 
  • Concept Development & Execution: Oversee the development and execution of creative campaigns, events, website, executive presentations, and video, ensuring alignment, quality, and impact across channels. 
  • Project & Budget Management: Collaborate with Creative Ops to balance scope, quality, and resources across projects while proactively addressing risks. 
  • Executive Alignment: Build trusted relationships with senior leaders, driving strategic alignment and ensuring creative supports Seismic’s broader business priorities. 
  • Continuous Innovation: Stay at the forefront of AI adoption by thoughtfully integrating emerging tools into creative workflows. Use data and insights to continuously optimize messaging and design for performance, engagement, and conversion. 
  • Intentional Leadership: Be a champion of Seismic’s values, leading and inspiring a team of designers, and videographers, fostering a culture of curiosity, craft, and performance, and a visible leader within the marketing team and beyond. 

What you bring to the team:

  • 10+ years of creative experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role within B2B, SaaS, or tech environments. 
  • Creative Vision and the ability to translate it into compelling campaigns and brand experiences. 
  • A strong point of view on the evolving role of AI in design—plus hands-on experience integrating AI tools into creative workflows to accelerate ideation, increase efficiency, and enhance the quality of work. 
  • Excellent collaboration skills to effectively work with internal clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams. 
  • A proven ability to translate strategy into standout creative executions that perform. 
  • Deep understanding of how to create for different channels—from digital to experiential to product. 
  • Experience leading in-house creative teams and collaborating with agencies. 
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; you're a storyteller with executive presence. 
  • Industry and software knowledge: Staying informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and keeping up to date on Adobe Suite, etc.

Seismic's annual base salary range for this position will vary based on applicant's location, experience, job level, skills, and abilities as well as internal equity and alignment market data. The range listed below is the minimum to the maximum of our target hiring range.

Seismic's salary range for this position is: USD $141,500.00/Yr. - USD $244,100.00/Yr.

This position is also eligible to participate in Seismic's incentive plans in addition to base salary. The actual incentive amount will very and will be subject to the terms and conditions set in the applicable incentive plan.
