Overview

Seismic is hiring a Public Relations Manager to help tell our story as we enter our next chapter as the Go-to-Market Performance company. Following our recently completed merger with Highspot, we’re bringing together new ideas, expertise and opportunities, and we’re looking for a strong writer and curious communicator to help shape what comes next.

Reporting to the Director of Global Communications, you’ll join a team comprised of PR, social media and content professionals within our broader Brand, Communications & Experience team. In this individual contributor role, you’ll help strengthen Seismic’s reputation through compelling corporate and product storytelling, PR agency partnerships, awards and more.

You’ll collaborate with Marketing colleagues across Creative, Customer & Product Marketing, Events, Web, and more, supporting communications priorities across the business. This is an opportunity to build on your PR experience, take on new projects and sharpen your communications skills as Seismic grows.

Who you are:

  • 4-7 years of public relations or communications experience, with a track record of developing stories, managing projects and delivering results.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with and without AI support. You can build a strong draft on your own, adapt to different executive voices and use AI thoughtfully while maintaining accuracy, originality and quality.
  • Strong news judgment. You recognize what makes a story worth telling, connect business priorities to timely conversations, and know when an idea needs a sharper angle.
  • Curiosity and enthusiasm for PR. A great earned media placement makes your day. A news story sends you digging deeper. You follow a range of outlets, voices and formats and bring fresh ideas to your work.
  • The ability to think ahead and prioritize. You anticipate needs, weigh competing business priorities and keep projects moving as circumstances change.
  • Strong relationship-building skills. You earn trust across teams, with agency partners and with key stakeholders by listening closely, following through and offering thoughtful counsel.
  • Executive presence and sound judgment. You’re comfortable working with senior leaders, asking thoughtful questions and presenting clear recommendations.
  • Initiative and ownership. You bring ideas forward, work independently and follow projects through to completion, knowing when to make a decision and when to seek input.
  • Strong time management and attention to detail. You manage deadlines, coordinate reviews and deliver accurate, polished work across multiple projects.

Nice to Have

  • PR agency experience, or a mix of agency and in-house experience.
  • Experience in technology or B2B software. We welcome PR professionals from other industries who bring strong communications skills and a desire to learn.
  • Experience managing agency partners, leading awards programs or turning research findings into compelling stories.

What you'll be doing:

  • Manage our PR agency partnerships: Serve as the day-to-day contact for Seismic’s agencies in North America and EMEA, setting priorities, reviewing deliverables and keeping work aligned with business goals.

  • Develop compelling PR materials: Write and edit press releases, messaging docs, contributed articles, executive thought leadership, media briefing documents and other communications that bring Seismic’s story to life.
  • Lead our awards strategy: Identify opportunities that showcase Seismic’s business, products, people and customer successes. Manage the awards calendar and develop strong submissions in partnership with teams across the company and our PR agency teams.
  • Turn research into stories: Support Seismic’s original and third-party research initiatives, partnering with Content, Web and our PR agencies to uncover newsworthy findings and extend their reach through earned, owned and shared channels.
  • Build proactive media opportunities: Follow news, industry trends and competitor activity to identify timely story angles. Partner with our agencies and internal experts to develop pitches and respond to media inquiries.
  • Support executive visibility: Work with leaders and subject matter experts to develop their perspectives, prepare for media interviews and pursue relevant speaking and thought leadership opportunities.
  • Collaborate across the business: Build relationships with teams including Talent, Product and Executive Leadership to uncover stories and support communications priorities. Partner across the Marketing team to coordinate campaigns and announcements.
  • Measure results and improve our approach: Support efforts to track coverage, awards and program performance with our agencies, share meaningful results internally and use what you learn to inform future work. Contribute ideas to strengthen Seismic’s share of voice across traditional and emerging media channels, including how earned media supports visibility in AI-powered search and answer engines.
